High-strength product for securing cylindrical parts, low viscosity – high temperature resistance

A single-component, low-viscosity, high-strength anaerobic retaining compound for cylindrical assemblies. It also works on slightly oily surfaces, for example those contaminated with various oils such as cutting fluids.

When working with gears and chain wheels on gearbox shafts or with rotors on electric motor shafts, LOCTITE 648 is ideal for preventing loosening caused by shock and vibration. This green, low-viscosity, high-strength anaerobic retaining compound ensures reliable bonding of cylindrical assemblies, even when exposed to high temperatures. It cures on both active metals (e.g. mild steel) and less active substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces, and tolerates minor surface contamination from oils such as cutting, lubricating, anti-corrosion, and protective fluids without the need for an activator or cleaning agent.
